When the left want to demonize conservatives or conservative groups, two of their primary tools have been the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) because both organizations have historically been afforded the veneer of legitimacy by the media and the Deep State. But their usefulness to the left might be coming to an end as it has been announced this week that the FBI is cutting ties to both organizations:
- "FBI Severs ADL Ties Over Kirk Group Extremism Listing"--Newsmax. The ADL was also taking down its "Glossary of Extremism and Hate" which was its list of people it considered "extremists".
- Related: "I Got Sprung" by Robert Spencer, PJ Media. Spencer relates how even with his pro-Israel bona fides he was still put on the "Glossary of Extremism and Hate" for daring to tell the truth about Islam.
- Related: "My ADL Problem" by Jonathan Bronitsky, Tablet Magazine. This 2015 article eviscerates the ADL for its liberal bias and hostility toward conservative Jews.
- "Kash Patel’s FBI Cuts All Ties to Southern Poverty Law Center"--Daily Signal. From the article:
The FBI has confirmed that it severed all ties to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a far-left activist group that puts conservatives and Christians on a “hate map” along with Ku Klux Klan chapters. The “hate map” has inspired at least one terrorist attack against a conservative organization.
“The Southern Poverty Law Center long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine,” FBI Director Kash Patel told The Daily Signal in a statement Friday. “Their so-called hate map has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence.”
“That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership,” Patel added.
You might remember that it was the SPLC that named various "parental rights" groups as "extremists" or hate groups because they did not want their children being groomed by school districts; and even named the Family Research Council as extremists because it propounded Christian views on marriage.

The ADL took down their extremist lists.
