First up is "Saints at War: Evidence of Divine Preservation" by Robert C. Freeman and published at Meridian Magazine. This is a selection of four excerpts from a book of the same name. Each of the stories is about an LDS servicemember who were miraculously preserved from death during wartime.
The second selection is much the same. The article, "Mortars and Miracles: Faith-Filled Stories of Mormons in the Military" at LDS Living collects stories about a half-dozen or so LDS servicemen and a servicewomen who had experienced some sort of divine intervention in their lives while serving in the military in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
