Congratulations: More Than 500 Million Private Firearms In U.S.

Seen via Instapundit, The Blaze is reporting that "the total of privately owned guns in the United States is estimated to have passed 500 million after gun sales for the month of October were the third-highest on record." The article also indicates that "[f]irearm sales have exceeded one million per month for over four years, Ammoland noted. The number of privately owned firearms has also nearly doubled since 1996."

Also, a recent poll from NBC shows that 52% of voters say that they, or someone in their household, own a firearm.

Of course if firearms were the problem that liberals claim the U.S., as a whole, would have the highest murder rate in the world, but we are far from that.
