- "Dems far outnumber conservatives in government — here’s what department is the worst"--New York Post.
At the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than 55 points — 72% versus 15% — while Health and Human Services has a 63%-19% imbalance.
Within other welfare agencies, like the section of the Department of Agriculture that oversees food stamps, Democrats have a 59-point advantage. That’s twice as liberal as Agriculture overall.
The closer you get to the nation’s capital, the more liberal the bureaucracy gets.
Within the metro DC area, Democrats maintain a partisan advantage within agencies of 39 points. By contrast, among senior bureaucrats outside DC, the Democratic advantage is a mere two points.
- "Elon Musk's DOGE finds $4.7 trillion in Treasury payments on untraceable budget line - and no one knows where the money went"--Daily Mail.
The agency announced Monday that the Treasury Access Symbol, which are used to describe the account the money is linked to, was missing on a number of payments the Treasury Department has made.
'In the federal government, the TAS field was optional for about $4.7 trillion in payments and was often left blank, making traceability almost impossible,' DOGE posted on X.
- "Social Security Fraud: Nearly 1.5 Million Americans Listed as Over 150 Years Old, 1,041 Over 220 Years Old"--Western Journal.
Musk posted a chart on X showing that there are more than 20 million Americans listed over the age of 100, including 3.9 million in the 130-139 range, more than 3.5 million aged 140-149 and more than 1.3 million in the range 150-159. There is even an 'alive' citizen aged over 360, according to the records.
Also:
'Yes, there are FAR more 'eligible' social security numbers than there are citizens in the USA,' Musk wrote. 'This might be the biggest fraud in history.'
A 2023 count shows there are 334.9 million U.S. citizens. But Musk said on X that the 'number of US citizens eligible for social security is closer to 310M.'
This is impossible considering that would mean approximately 92.5 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to receive retirement, disability or survivor benefits from the federal government.
Once the corruption is rooted out, we may find that there is no budget deficit.
RE: HUD. Most think it stands for "Housing and Urban Development." It does not; "Hopeless, Useless and Depressing" is the correct answer, a woefully inadequate correct answer, but well understood by anyone who has dealt with HUD in any capacity or spent more than 20 minutes in the building.
ReplyDeleteAnd, speaking of HUD, a question: How many times do the words "housing" or "mortgage" appear in either the Declaration of Independence or, more to the point, The Constitution of the United States of America?
For extra points, explain why the following should exist: HUD, Fannie Mae, Sallie Mae, Freddie Mac, Farm Bureau loans from the Department of Agriculture, USDA's Single Family Housing Program loans, FHA home loans, Dept of Veterans Affairs home loans, the Treasury Dept's Homeowner Assistance Fund, Dept of Energy's Energy Efficient Home Loan Program......there's lots more, but this will do for a start. You have 15 minutes and all answers must be in English, grading will not be on a curve. Begin.
During the Great Depression, the courts, under pressure from the FDR Administration, started broadly reinterpreting the Commerce and Necessary and Proper clauses in the Constitution, changing the federal government from one of limited powers to one that has de facto general police powers. As a consequence, most of what the federal government does is not expressly in the Constitution but is a consequence of what the courts have allowed and the powers the Congress or the Executive branch have taken upon themselves.
