Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz labelled the video as "blood libel" despite 10 soldiers being arrested for the incident, five of which have been indicted (although no trial has yet been held). I hope Katz is merely resorting to hyperbole and that the torture did not have some religious significance.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict reminds me of the original series Star Trek episode, "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield," where the inhabitants, some with a black left-side of their face and white right-side, and others with the opposite, have fought a war to extinction because of their mutual hatred.
If they would only look to the black and white cookie, all their problems would be solved... ;)
