Guns & Ammo generally runs a monthly article looking at the top selling guns at GunBroker.com for different categories of firearms. This is the link for the lineup from October. There are no sales figures, so you can't tell if the #1 firearm sold 1,000 and the #2 only sold 10, but it is interesting. A few highlights:
- The #1 semi-auto pistol (new) was the Glock 19 (it was #2 in the used category).
- The #1 semi-auto pistol (used) was the Glock 17 (it was #4 in the new category).
- The #1 position in semi-auto rifles, both new and used, was the Ruger 10/22.
- Interestingly, the #2 in the used semi-auto rifle category was the M1 Garand.
- Also interestingly was that there were no AR style rifles in the top 5 on either the new or used categories.
The Garand is a surprise given its weight and cost. I am very pleased it's still a favorite.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that they are still available.
DeleteI think the ARs are not in the top five is because those purchases are split among so many different manufacturers.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right.
