I came across the video below on using different strength recoil springs and different weight of buffers to tune an AR so the FRT works. And the very next day, I saw a post from Big Country Expat dealing with the same issue. So this seems to be an issue with the FRTs, resulting in too light of primer strikes to set off a round and just the overall cadence and operation of the weapon if the weapon is not correctly tuned.
