"Printing" is a term referring to a situation where the shape of your concealed weapon is discernible in whole or in part through your clothing, generally because the clothing is stretched too tight against the weapon or the weapon is pressing up against the cover garment. This video covers the topic of printing and provides three general reasons why it matters--i.e., why you should not want your weapon printing. First, is to prevent selection--that is, being targeted by someone because you are carrying. It could be a criminal wanting to steal your weapon, a cop or security guard that might hassle you (or worse), or a busybody who wants to get you in trouble. Second, to maintain the element of surprise if you are caught up in a violent incident. And, third, avoiding social friction, because there are just some people who are going to be uncomfortable around someone who they know is carrying a gun (which takes us back to point #1).
