Shadow of Ezra on X links to a video of Ben Shapiro "openly supporting the great replacement of U.S. citizens with immigrants on H-1B visas." The arguments he raises are essentially libertarian: that we need the lowest cost laborers no matter what other social harm it may cause. (Shapiro frames this as importing "the best" from other countries, but if that was the case, we would have a lot more H1Bs from Europe). He also suggests that much of the problem lies with a poor education system. But who is to blame for that? The Left. And who is to blame for the Left? People like Ben Shapiro.
His arguments that without the H-1B visas is nonsensical when you examine the underlying facts. He suggests that if the H1B visas could not be filled, the companies would simply offshore. But if that was all there was to the story, the companies would have already offshored their facilities. There is a reason they remain in the U.S. Also, these are not people being brought in to fill new jobs--they are replacing American workers that were previously doing these jobs.
Ben is awful.
