Hamas has overplayed their hand. Perhaps showing an old video of a starving hostage digging his own grave was not the best reassurance they could offer that any hostages remain alive. From the New York Post: "Netanyahu approves plan to fully occupy Gaza Strip, force Hamas to release hostages." Per the article, the IDF already controls 75% of Gaza. Also:
The move to occupy all of Gaza would go against the Israel Defense Forces’ previous assessment opposing such a plan due to the realities of war and possible harm to the remaining hostages — 20 of whom are believed to be living.
The Israeli army had warned that a full occupation of Gaza, including military presence in crowded civilian areas and the few cities spared from the fighting, would take years to sift through and locate Hamas’ remaining cells.
It's not an intractable problem. The British solved it in the Second Boer War and the Malayan Emergency. The U.S. solved it toward the end of the Indian wars. The world's greatest mass murderer (a leftist, of course) likened guerillas fighters to fish swimming in the "water" of the general populace. You simply need to remove the water.
Occupation by surveillance including putting bombs in common technology. Or occupy by boots on the ground so you get a better Mozambique drill outcome? We are shamed as Americans to fund this war and the Nation that goes full Nazi Ghetto. Whats the difference? 1943, 2025

I don't believe the intention is to create a ghetto. I believe the intention is to push the Palestinians out completely, forcing them as refugees into the countries that have been the historic enemies of the Jews and Israel, whether that be the surrounding Islamic states, or into Western countries.
