The Biden administration is preparing a wave of strikes and cyber attacks that could last 'weeks' in response to the Iranian-backed drone attack that killed three U.S. troops in Jordan.
U.S. officials have given public and private signals that the operation it is planning will be multi-faceted.
Officials told NBC News it will include Iranian targets outside Iran and would consist of both strikes and cyber operations.

President Biden is believed not to be planning attacks inside the territory of Iran, despite the urgings of some Republicans in Congress.

ReplyDeleteProbably. We have been at war almost without a stop since the 1991 Gulf War. You will recall we spent from 1991 to 2003 enforcing the Northern and Southern No Fly Zones over Iraq with almost daily bombing of radar sites. Then there was the bigger campaign against Iraq in 1997. The Somalia fiasco in 1992-93, Sudan bombing in 1998. Bosnia 1996, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq 2, and on and on. That's 33 years and counting. The era of military competency and American dominance is also over, as we shall soon be brutally reminded of. Failed military escapades do not help presidential approval ratings, but with the election cheat system firmly in operation, Biden will likely win with 100 million votes even if all the blue hives are nuked before election day.
That's more than half my life we've been at war, and I'm not young by any measure.
