Some Firearms History: The Guns Of The 1986 Miami FBI Shootout

From the Mag Life: "Guns of the '86 Miami Shootout: An In-Depth Look." I've posted about the 1986 Miami shootout before, focusing mostly on the events, including the following two posts:

But this article from Mag Life focuses on the weapons, detailing what weapons the FBI agents and two bank robbers had, whether they were used, and the success (or lack thereof) of each. Since this shootout led to the FBI standards for handgun ammunition, sparking both the development of modern defensive ammunition and leading to the adoption of the 10mm by the FBI (and subsequent development and adoption of the .40 S&W throughout law enforcement) the shootout is definitely worthy of study by those interested in firearms history. I'm not convinced that the results of the shootout would have been all that different if the officers had modern defensive ammunition, though.
