Hot Air's new article, "Destination: Color Revolution" by David Strom reminds us that even before Trump entered office, Democrats and their Deep State allies in the FBI and CIA were planning on going after Trump. And they are planning to do it again should they win back Congress at the mid-terms. Strom writes:
DataRepublican has been doing a very deep dive into the current Deep State project to take Donald Trump out after the Midterm elections, dropping chunks of her investigation, including receipts from an insider who leaked video, audio, and documents from a wide-ranging, shall we call it a "plot," to amp up resistance to Trump and to create a Constitutional crisis that would, they hope, reshape the entire political landscape.
Including the Constitution.
The core groups involved are military alumni, various intelligence agencies, and, of course, the USAID folks. You may recall that as Trump closed down USAID, a bureaucrat walking out the door darkly insinuated that it was the biggest mistake Trump ever made.

All these alums from the IC and related agencies are now part of a massive NGO complex designing plans and wargaming ways to take Trump down, not in any namby-pamby way like using the courts or prosecutions, though they are intended to be part of the plan.
They want a full-blown confrontation between Blue States and the Trump administration, up to and including what could be low-level armed conflicts, more along the lines of an escalation from what we saw in Minnesota last winter.
You may recall Governor Walz's language kept returning to the word "war." "War with the federal government." The references to the Minnesotans at Gettysburg during the Civil War. The fact that Democrats from the governor's office on down to city and county officials helped coordinate the physical resistance to ICE officers, leading to two deaths and the injury of multiple federal officers.
Think along those lines, but amped up to 11, with all the troops mobilized on the left, and all the Democrats in governors' offices and in Congress making a full-court press to take Trump out using any means necessary.

I can't go through all the data in one post, and DataRepublican is still putting what she has out in digestible chunks, but the bottom line is very clear: those USAID folks, along with the IC officials who have "six ways from Sunday" to get you are now organized, plotting, working with politicians and even the Democratic Socialists of America to create a crisis and the next best thing to a coup.
T.L. Davis has some thoughts on how things will go down if the Democrats win the mid-terms:
What I expect to happen, and I am not engaging in forecasting here, because I have no talent in that area, but just looking at it logically, is that the Democrats will win control of the House and Senate and begin the long dark path toward opening the borders and flooding the US with more jihadists and fraudsters. The idea being to drain the treasury and restrict funds that would be used to counter the coup, or to fight a war.
Then, with power, the communist Red-Green coalition will begin to implement the plan exposed in the linked article above. Why now? The election of Mamdani in New York, the symbolic target of radical Islamists for decades, has fueled life into the communist dreams of conquest. They might pretend that riots and church burnings won’t take place if the Democrats win the 2026 election, but it doesn’t matter. Losing would only provide more shade for their revolutionary actions.

The question is, will the real war start in November when they attempt to engage in a revolution? I hope so, it’s what American patriots, militia groups and just well-prepared citizens have been waiting for, preparing for, arming for, because the first order of business is to impeach and imprison Trump. The Second order of business will be to, once and for all, confiscate guns. That might require them to first arrest and imprison, or just outright attack the conservative justices on the Supreme Court. By conservative justices, I mean only Thomas and Alito, the others will fold under threat of Antifa attack, just like they already have on other cases.
It will very quickly devolve into an open civil war. They are supremely emboldened by their fake confrontations with faithless cops and believe they will win any kinetic confrontation with bubba. We’ll see.

Yes - and I realize I'd been making a mistake to focus on the Insurrection Act. Although the goal certainly is to get structural reforms in the national conversation by 2028, they outlined several scenarios beyond the Insurrection Act. By and far their biggest focus has been an "election meltdown." I didn't emphasize that as much because obvi, Trump isn't going to send military to the polls or anything of the sort.
But I forgot momentarily that elections ARE the actual precursor to what becomes an actual coup (transition of power, whatever euphemism you'd like). Everything takes on a much darker turn if you start wondering if they're trying to manifest that.
