Greg Ellifritz has a new Weekend Knowledge Dump posted at his Active Response Training website which, as always, includes links to articles on firearms, self-defense, and first aid topics. A few of the links that caught my attention for one reason or another were:
- A detailed article with tips for left-handed people on manipulating and using a semi-auto shotgun set up for right-handers.
- An article discussing how the fanny-pack is returning to favor for concealed carry--one of a few such articles I've seen over the past month. This one notes that many people are not using them to wear around the waist, but also using them like sling bags.
- A look at how the Supreme Court's recent ruling on "ghost guns" lays out the path forward for companies producing kits.
- An article on some common scams and pitfalls to watch out for when visiting Mexico. Although written specifically for visitors to Playa del Carmen, Greg notes that the scams are common to many tourist areas around the world.
- A review of the firearms and gear favored by the women that attended 2025 A Girl & A Gun (AG&AG) National Conference. Despite the title of "what women really use," I would note that these are competition guns, not concealed carry weapons, even if some of the weapons have less than full-sized frames.
