The Real Villain Is The Bureaucracy

    Last week I happened across a video from Giant Freakin Robot that explained that the real villain in the Star Wars universe--and as particularly showcased in the Andor streaming series--is not the Dark Side of the Force, nor the Emperor, Darth Vader, Snoke, or any other specific character, but the Bureaucracy. 

    And I thought back to that video when I watched the casual cruelty and thoughtlessness--and by that, I mean the literal lack of thought or reason--exhibited by most of the police officers in the video below. It makes you realize what is truly captured in the phrase "the banality of evil". It also makes you wonder about an officer that seeks, and the magistrate that issues, a felony arrest warrant based on no investigation.
