"ATF agents discussed new suppressors on site they thought was private"--The
Truth About Guns. The comments on the discussion board mention that the
new suppressors "are made by HUXWRX Safety Co., and that they are
'upper lever' and 'good cans.'" The article also notes that the
suppressors from that company run $1,200 to $1,300 each. The reason that
the ATF says they need the suppressors--items that are heavily
restricted as tools only fit for use by assassins--are for health and
safety reasons: the exact same reasons that the public needs them. But certain Republicans have put the kibosh on making it easier for the public to purchase them.
