This Would Have Been Nice About 10 Years Ago

The Firearm Blog reports on the "TEC-GIII Rifle – An AR10 That Takes G3 Magazines." Back when I was building my CETME from a parts kit, it was common to see the 20-round aluminum G3 magazines selling for $1 to $1.50 per magazine. And on one particular sale, a couple friends and I were able to score a large number (I think you had to order 100 or more) for 50 cents each (not including the shipping costs). That obviously was a low point in costs, but they still hung around the $2 to $3 per magazine price for a long time. Lately, though, when I've looked, the prices for even the aluminum ones seem to be hovering around $9 to $10 per.
