From the Daily Mail: "America's bloodiest year: US records 38 mass shootings so far in 2023 - the highest ever figure - after two in less than 90 minutes on Sunday pushed total." I thought this statistic interesting: "As many as 453 mass attacks with firearms have taken place since 2006, with nearly 60 per cent of victims known to the shooter." Also:
The CDC has also recently shared updated stats on violence and injury in the United States, reporting 48,830 firearm deaths nationwide in 2021.
More than 50 per cent of those were reported as suicide by gunshot.
Forty-three per cent were murders, according to the CDC.
The article perpetuates the myth that if there were no guns, those murders and suicides simply would not happen.
And fails to mention who the people doing the shooting are.
