People that trade away their rights for safety most often wind up with neither. Such as the case in Australia which just witnessed a mass killing by a man armed with a knife and a Muslim teen stab a bishop and others at a Christian church, and now experienced a bit of cultural enrichment at a shopping center: "Woodgrove shopping centre, Melton: Families flee machete-wielding mob as savage gang fight erupts at suburban shopping centre in fresh outbreak of terrifying violence."
Terrified parents have fled a Melbourne shopping centre with their children after a bloody fight broke out between a group of machete-wielding youths.
The group clashed inside the Woodgrove Shopping Centre at Melton in Melbourne's north-west at about 5pm on Monday.
Witnesses claim those involved, who were described as teenagers and Sudanese, were armed with a variety of weapons and were seen waving knives and throwing chairs during the melee.
And some updates as to the other two knife attacks:
- "Aussie women swoon over 'beautiful' French 'Bollard Man' hero Damien Guerot who took on Bondi Junction stabber - as Anthony Albanese offers him citizenship: 'Finally some REAL men'"--Daily Mail. Apparently the female police officer that shot the knifeman wasn't the only hero.
- "Sydney church stabbing: Attack on Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel at Wakeley may be linked to resurfaced video showing the stabbing victim making controversial remarks about Islam"--Daily Mail. Australian authorities have been reticent about releasing any details about the teen which was arrested for the attack, but the attack occurred during a live streaming so we do have some other sources of information including this:
On a separate video of the aftermath of the alleged terror attack, the boy said in Arabic 'If they didn't insult my prophet, I wouldn't have come here. If he didn't involve himself in my religion, I would not have come here.'
- And in another example that Western legal systems are not up to the task of dealing with savages: "Sydney church stabbing: Alleged teen terrorist, 16, accused of stabbing bishop was on a good behaviour bond for knife crime"--Daily Mail.
The religion of peace!
