The Daily Mail has published an op-ed from long-time Democrat powerbroker, James Carville, warning that we could see a repeat of 1968 at the Democrat Party convention this summer (coincidentally also scheduled to be held in Chicago). This time around, however, he predicts the cause célèbre will be the holocaust in Gaza. Secondary, to that, will be issues concerning Biden's age. "I'm not predicting that Chicago's streets will again erupt into violence," he backpedals, "but if tensions in the Democratic party continue to build over the ongoing Israel-Gaza war – the discontented are going to seek an outlet value. And their numbers may be overwhelming." He adds:
I've been around for a long time and all of this together tells me that there are going to be some very unpredictable moments in this election.
I don't know exactly what they're going to be. But I promise you, they're coming.
Perhaps, in Chicago.
And Democrats are running out of time to do something about it.
This is his warning to Democrats that they (i) need to put Israel on a leash and (ii) need to replace Biden or they are going to lose much of the minority vote.
Maybe they should defund the Chicago police?
ReplyDeleteI see that Biden is trying to head off disruptions like this by promising massive amounts of humanitarian aid to Gaza by building a massive pier to unload supplies. My guess is that the pier will actually be used to gather the people of Gaza on ships and resettle them in the U.S.
