It must be an election year.
- "San Francisco overwhelmingly votes in favor of law and order ballot measures and new rule that'll force welfare recipients to pass drug tests"--Daily Mail. One ballot measure will provide more drones and cameras to the police; the other requires welfare recipients to be screened for drug use, with drug users being required to enroll in a drug rehab program. But the city obviously hasn't felt enough pain because the measures passed with only 60% and 63% support, respectively.
- "New York City's subway soldiers: Kathy Hochul deploys nearly ONE THOUSAND National Guard troops for 'stop and search' on Big Apple's train network - as Eric Adams finally cracks down on city's violent repeat criminals"--Daily Mail. Adams also indicated he planned on deploying weapon detection systems across the city ... as soon as the technology is developed.
