- Pick the wrong fight--i.e., being in a stupid place, with stupid people, doing stupid things; or not getting away when you had a chance.
- Fail to draw your gun in time--i.e., delaying deployment of your weapon when you do need it; or, since you will likely be reacting to someone else's hostile actions, attempting to shoot before moving off the X.
- Assume the bad guy will stop when they're shot.
