The Search for the Nina

The Daily Mail has an article about parents hunting for their daughter and her crew mates aboard the Nina--a sail boat that disappeared in June 2013 while sailing between New Zealand and Australia. According to the article, the authorities launched a search 2 weeks after the boat supposedly disappeared, but didn't find anything. Authorities have told the parents--Ricky and Robin Wright--that the boat sunk in a storm. The Wrights believe that the boat survived the storms, based on a satellite phone call placed after the boat was supposedly sunk, and a satellite photo from September which they believe shows the Nina.

It sounds pretty hopeless at this point, but it makes an interesting read.
