No one has been able to convincingly match up the locations Odysseus journeyed to during his 10-year voyage to actual locations in the Mediterranean. Some have looked beyond the Mediterranean to see if there are matches to locations in or around Atlantic Ocean, including the host of this video. He begins with a simple hypothesis: that the journey in The Odyssey is based, at least in part, from earlier stories and legends; and that some of the stories or legends might reflect actual locations or sailing journeys. He further notes that Homer used the Greek word for "ocean" to describe where Odysseus' journey took place.
To be clear, he does not believe that all of the events and locations described in The Odyssey were based on a single voyage of exploration, but were likely from several accounts. But he picks out several that seem to describe a voyage into the Atlantic and north to Iceland, wintering in Iceland, and then heading over to a couple locations in Newfoundland that seem a plausible match with Homer's description of the whirlpool Charybdis and the creature, Scylla.
