Eww! "Monkey infects human with fatal herpes strain as authorities confirm first case"

A Japanese worker was infected with the fatal Herpes B strain by a monkey at the lab where he works. The disease is not transmitted through the air, and the worker was not bitten. On a side note, there is a population of about 1,000 rhesus monkeys roaming wild in Florida, also bearing herpes B. The monkeys are all descended from three males and three females released together in 1939 after they had been used in the filming of the movie “Tarzan Finds a Son.”
