A Monday Medley of Videos (11/4/2019)

The author relates that British forces have traditionally preferred an infantry belt-pack type of system over a load-bearing vest. He reviews the latest iteration, manufactured by JayJays.

The standard advice for clearing a structure by yourself is DON'T. But as this video explains, there may be a situation when it is required: returning home and discovering that your home has been broken into while loved ones may still be inside. The video then goes on to discuss some tips for doing so, noting that the process is less like traditional clearing and more like hostage rescue.

A brief look at the history of the cartridge and some of the firearms developed to shoot it. The narrator contends that, similar to the .30-06, the .44 Magnum has a wide range of versatility practically unmatched by other pistol calibers.

"Why I Really Like The M1 Carbine"--Lucky Gunner Ammo (13 min.)

A musical interlude

"The British-Afghan War of 1919"--The Great War 1919 (11 min.)

"1st Modern Arc Crater, Earthquake, Magnetic Plasma | S0 News Oct.31.2019"--Suspicious Observers. The interesting part is at the 1:03 mark and shows an arc crater caused by a lightning bolt. One of the contentions of those that support an electric/plasma universe model is that at least some of the cratering and canyons seen on planets and moons in the solar system, including some features seen on Earth, are the result of electric arcs or plasma discharges.

"Which Way, White Man?"--Daughter of Albion (5 min.)

"What Were Africans Doing In 1492?"--Home Team History (13 min.)
There are several reasons why this video is interesting. For one, ignoring the black washing of where Europeans learned navigation, it is an interesting account of African history during a time that is rarely explored in most world history courses. Second, is the unabashed pride shown by narrator in his race; something that would considered racist if done by someone of European extraction.

"CAT SHIT ONE -THE ANIMATED SERIES"--Blast Inc. (22 min.)
The rabbits are taking on camels in this strange "Watership Down"-esque short film. Note, however, that there is nothing humorous about this video nor is it a kids video.
