Woman Killed Trying To Murder ICE Agent Was Leftist Radical

From the New York Post: "Renee Nicole Good was Minneapolis ‘ICE Watch’ ‘warrior’ who trained to resist feds before shooting." The article relates:

Renee Nicole Good, the mom who was killed by a federal agent after veering her car toward him, was an anti-ICE “warrior” and was part of a group of activists who worked to “document and resist” the federal immigration crackdown in Minnesota, The Post can reveal.

Good, who moved to the city last year, linked up with the anti-ICE activists through her 6-year-old son’s woke charter school, which boasts that it puts “social justice first” and prioritizes “involving kids in political and social activism,” multiple local sources said.

“She was a warrior. She died doing what was right,” a mother named Leesa, whose child attends the same school, told The Post at a growing vigil where Good was killed Wednesday.

Good and her wife Rebecca, 40, were raising the boy together in the mostly working-class, activist-heavy neighborhood of south Minneapolis, which features tree-lined streets and a large number of homes with windows decked out in LGBTQ+ flags or signs depicting George Floyd.

According to the Post, "[o]n Thursday, the streets of the neighborhood were lined with heart-shaped signs featuring quotes by Assata Shakur, a radical black liberation activist who fled to Cuba in the 1970s after being convicted of murdering a cop." Nice neighborhood (sarc.).

The article goes on to explain that the group Good belonged to--ICE Watch--"started out as a very loose confederation of anti-ICE activists, but has recently aligned itself with more radical organizations including Twin Cities Ungovernables." ICE Watch has "encouraged agitators to bring items that would help them barricade the streets around where the shooting took place, even urging people to bring things to burn, such as dried-up Christmas trees."

Despite the governor’s rote calls for peace, if not calm, his repeated solicitation for mass protests and his attacks on the federal government seem designed to foment the very phenomenon he supposedly sought to deter. Indeed, at a subsequent press conference on Thursday, Walz made it clear that he plans to treat federal immigration enforcement agents as though they were a hostile force.

  1. She was not from Minneapolis, she lived in Colorado.

    1. A lot of the "facts" reported about her keep changing. An AP article from yesterday evening says she moved from Kansas City, MO, to Minneapolis. The Colorado government says she was originally from the Colorado Springs area and still had family there. Other articles indicate that she was born in Colorado. There seems to be an effort to conceal her connections to Leftist protest groups. A lot of the media is indicating that she had just dropped her kid off at school when she got caught up in the traffic jam, despite video seemingly showing her as one of the key vehicles being used to block the road.
