Mitch McConnell To Step Down As Senate Majority Leader

Apparently negotiating deals to flood the country with illegals and shovel billions to Ukraine and Israel without consulting other Republican senators didn't work out for him. The Daily Mail relates:

A tearful Mitch McConnell has announced he will be stepping down as the longest-serving Senate leader in history and admitted 'father time remains undefeated'.

The Republican senator for Kentucky who turned 82 last week choked up on the Senate floor as he revealed he will leave the position he's served in for almost 20 years in November after a 'painful time' that included the death of his sister-in-law.

McConnell has battled constant calls to step down in recent months over his support for sending more aid to Ukraine and is the last member of the Republican leadership not to have voted for Trump.

    1. He's only 82. I'm sure he has another one or two Senate terms left in him.
