Hillary "Reset" Clinton Belittles Tucker For Interviewing Putin

The Daily Mail reports that "Tucker Carlson announces his controversial interview with Putin will air Thursday at 6pm EST on his own website and X - as Hillary Clinton brands fired Fox News host a 'useful idiot'." The article relates:

    Hillary Clinton, speaking on MSNBC Wednesday, joked that she 'would not be surprised if he emerges with a contract with a Russian outlet, because he is a useful idiot' in response to the news.

* * *

    Clinton, speaking to Alex Wagner on the left-leaning network, said it made perfect sense why Putin would do the interview.

    'He says things that are not true. He parrots Vladimir Putin's pack of lies about Ukraine, so I don't see why Putin wouldn't give him an interview,' she said.

    Despite her opining that Carlson has a future at a Russian outlet, she believes the country's media looks down at him.

    'If you actually read translations of what is being said on Russian media, they make fun of him …he's like a puppy dog', Clinton said.

I don't know if I would trust Hillary's comments about Russian translations, given her "reset" button fiasco in 2009. As Politico reported at the time:

    After promising to “push the reset button” on relations with Moscow, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton planned to present Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov with a light-hearted gift at their talks here Friday night to symbolize the Obama administration’s desire for a new beginning in the relationship.

    It didn’t quite work out as she planned.

    She handed him a palm-sized box wrapped with a bow. Lavrov opened it and pulled out the gift—a red plastic button on a black base with a Russian word “peregruzka” printed on top.

    “We worked hard to get the right Russian word. Do you think we got it?” Clinton said as reporters, allowed in to observe the first few minutes of the meeting, watched.

    “You got it wrong,” Lavrov said, to Clinton’s clear surprise. Instead of “reset,” he said the word on the box meant “overcharge.”

She gets a lot of things wrong. Her plans to suck Ukraine into the Western sphere of influence didn't turn out very well. Neither did her military campaign against Libya, storing classified materials in an unsecured server in her bathroom, Benghazi, Syria, and probably half a hundred other blunders for which she is responsible.
