Shooting the Pedersen Device

The Pedersen Device was a device designed to replace the bolt in the M1903 Springfield that would allow the Springfield to shoot a low power round semi-automatically. It was fed by a stick magazine that fit into the top of the device. The concept was to give troops greater firepower and ammunition capacity for clearing the trenches of WWI, while still retaining a weapon with the power and range of the .30-06. Unfortunately, the war ended before the device could be put into full manufacturing.

Full 30 has a video demonstrating the firing of a Pedersen Device using a Springfield.
