This Is A Nice Looking Pistol

This photograph is from a review of the Laugo Alien Pistol at Guns America. Per the review, the handgun is "[g]as piston operated, fixed barrel, nonreciprocating top strap (sights don’t move) and super low bore axis," which requires some peculiar placement of some of the parts. For instance, the hammer is located in the top strap and swings downward. One of the advantages of the nonreciprocating top strap that the author mentions is that a reflex sight is not exposed to the same forces as if mounted on a standard reciprocating slide. The current model uses a steel frame, but the plans are to produce a polymer framed version and a slightly more compact model in the future.

In any event, the current model is intended for the competition market and its price reflects that: $5,000.
