This is why we carry. The carjacker had already tried to carjack a couple of other vehicles when he chose poorly, picking a vehicle with a family where the father was armed. The carjacker was unarmed, and so the father initially just tried grappling with the carjacker; but when that didn't work, the father went to the other side of the vehicle and shot the carjacker, killing him. I'm not sure if this video mentions it, but another source stated that there was still an infant child in the car when the carjacker attempted to drive off with it. In any event, police have indicated that no charges will be filed against the father.
