POTD: What Will Future Archaeologists Think?

Per the article, this Lockheed Tristar L-1011 airliner is part of a museum collection belonging to Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan (Source: "Titans of war left to rust: Eerie pictures show abandoned tanks, fighter jets and warships rotting away in military bases around the world"--Daily Mail). The article has links to other photographs showing various aircraft, tanks, armored vehicles, and even trains, abandoned to time and decay. In a way it is very sad because of the amount of wealth sunk into these weapons instead of things to advance mankind.
