Liberals Don't Care About The Consequences As Long As They Feel Good About Themselves

"Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward." Matt. 6:2.

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward." Matt. 6:5.

The first example is from today's Daily Mail: "Vegan influencer Mythical Mia who 'rescued' 16 rabbits in violent raid on bunny farm in Spain 'killed nearly 100 more' and left others with severed spines." From the article:
The British activist proudly said she had saved 16 rabbits from the farm in Osona, but reports in Spain say several of the 'rescued' animals had just given birth, leaving dozens of bunnies stranded without a mother.

Unable to fend for themselves, 90 helpless bunnies had to be put down, according to La Vanguardia.

On top of that, five pregnant rabbits died during the raid while others are said to have lost their babies. Others still suffered broken spines, it is reported.
Sort of a "we had to destroy the village to save it" situation.

My second example is the following video recently posted by John Stossel on the subject of why Africa is poor. Most of the video discusses how rampant regulations make it expensive or impossible to operate a business, and directly leads to corruption as businesses often must pay bribes to get through the red tape. But the video also discusses the negative impact of charities that donate goods that destroy local industry. One of the charities/businesses cited in particular is TOMS Shoes which, as part of its marketing, will donate a pair of shoes in Africa for each pair sold in the first world. According to the video, this is literally putting village shoemaker and cobblers out of business.
