Vanity Fair reports that the whole of Epstein's island was wired for video, perhaps for blackmail purposes. Comparison of drone footage has revealed that electronics were removed from Epstein’s island residence before the FBI raid. So, the FBI was probably sure that it wouldn't find anything when it got around to conducting the raid.
But I'm more interested in this story from the Daily Mail about Ghislaine Maxwell.
I had only recently noted news sources that indicated that Maxwell (57), who was Epstein's friend, confidante, and allegedly assisted him in his child trafficking, had disappeared from sight. Well, she supposedly has turned up, and she's been living at a secluded oceanfront property in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, owned by Scott Borgerson, according to the Daily Mail. The article indicates that Borgerson, who is 43, is Maxwell's "boyfriend," and describes him as a tech CEO. (Even the New York Times has reported that Borgerson was Maxwell's boyfriend). Borgerson, however, has denied all of this, which makes sense because I can't see a 43 year old wealthy tech CEO hitching up with a woman 14 years his senior.
Anyway, "Scott G. Borgerson is the CEO of CargoMetrics Technologies. Before founding CargoMetrics, he was a fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations." Actually, Borgerson is a life member of the CFR. According to his CFR biography dating from 2008 (PDF):
Prior to co-founding CargoMetrics, Dr. Borgerson was the Visiting Fellow for Ocean Governance at the Council on Foreign Relations. He also served as a Senior Research Scholar at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. An expert on the Arctic, Dr. Borgerson has published numerous landmark articles on the subject; he advises national and international leaders on emerging Arctic issues; and he is a co-founder of The Arctic Circle, a global NGO.
He serves on the boards of The Arctic Circle, the Kostas Homeland Security Institute, Catalyst Maritime and the Institute for Global Maritime Studies.Pretty connected guy.
