According to the article, the building pictured above was part of Staten Island's abandoned Farm Colony. The author explains: "Built in 1898, it started off as a community vegetable growing project but it was abandoned in 1975. In the 1970s local children would go missing here and turn up in shallow graves on the colony - and it's said that past residents haunt the grounds."
