Snow in the UAE
The Express reports: "'Apocalyptic' SNOWSTORM blasts Middle East as freak weather terrifies Arab countries." The United Arab Emirates (UAE) was hit with a snow storm dumping up to 10 cm (3.9 inches) of snow, and temperatures plunged to -2 degrees Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit). According to the article, "[o]ther Gulf States also experienced rare lightning strikes, sandstorms, rough seas and high winds of up to 90km an hour."
