Black Lives Matter: "Video surfaces of punch killing 64-year-old Queens man after he accidentally bumped into his attacker's girlfriend"

The article and an embedded video can be found at the New York Daily News. The elderly white man, Patrick Gorman, was sucker punched by a black man believed to be between 30 and 35 years of age. What is interesting is the number of articles that leave out any description of Mr. Gorman's race or that of his attacker (although it is apparent from video). For instance, the Daily Mail describes the attacker simply as "about 30 to 35 years old, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, sneakers and holding a black bag," and provides no description or photograph of Gorman.

The Daily News article quotes one of Gorman's neighbors as being worried by the recent trend of assaults on elderly in the City. And, in fact, a black suspect was arrested just this last week in relation to an unprovoked "knockout game" style attack on a 85 year old white man. (See also this article from the New York Post). As before, you only know the race of the victim from the video surveillance tape.
