While "zombie-themed," the short-video above is about as good an introduction to disaster preparation and survival (especially, a TEOTWAWKI event) as any.
Some people really hate the zombie theme, but it has been a tremendous boon to both prepping and gun rights (even if the prices of the Colt Python are now out-of-sight because everyone wants Rick Grime's gun). Although approached in jest, the idea of a zombie apocalypse at least got people thinking about the possibility of disasters and what they would do. I know several people that became interested in firearms via zombie-themed television programs and video games, and it seems reasonable that many others joined the ranks of gun owners via the same path.
