Remembering the Battle of Manila

The Battle of Manila was fought between February 3, 1945 and March 3, 1945, as U.S. forces worked to free the city from the Japanese army. 100,000 civilians died during the battle, the vast majority at the hands of the Japanese military as it burned sections of the city and purposefully killed fleeing civilians. Just a reminder of what can happen to an unarmed population invaded by an army of fanatics.
