POTD: Glenrio, New Mexico

Glenrio is a former railroad town that sits on the New Mexico–Texas border along Route 66. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.  According to the article, "[p]ortions of the Grapes of Wrath movie were filmed here, and an abandoned service station’s design appears in the Cars film."
