Trump Comes Through For Shooters & Hunters

One important caveat: the way [Judge] Hendrix’s order was written, the relief currently applies only to members of the plaintiff organizations — current and future GOA members, plus PSA and SilencerCo customers. If you’re not covered by one of those, you’re still working under the old NFA rules for now, even as the underlying regulatory basis has collapsed for everyone else.   

• "New Trump orders loosen regulations on hunting, recreational fishing"--USA Today. The biggest point for most of us is that the order rolls back a Biden-era policy that prevented hunters and fishermen from using lead ammunition and tackle. The article also notes that the Interior Department recently issued a new rule permitting hunting at 95% of National Wildlife Refuge System lands, encompassing 92 million acres. Also:

The order takes aim at the lottery system that limits who can access high-demand Forest Service-administered river areas, directing Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins to overhaul the lottery to prioritize U.S. citizens and applicants who haven’t previously received access.
