Sowing Division Throughout The Country

So the House has voted for impeachment, pretty much straight down party lines (although there were two Democrats that broke with ranks). Not even trying to hide their glee, several Washington Post reporters tweeted out a photograph of them celebrating and wishing everyone a "Merry Impeachmas." Even Nancy Pelosi could not hide her grin. But Pelosi knows that this is only a very small part of the battle and, accordingly, "is now threatening to withhold the Democrats' case unless she can dictate the terms of the Senate trial." 

     Pelosi knows that impeachment is very unpopular among voters, other than the extremist Leftists. She knows that there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that it will pass the Senate. So, it seems the primary purpose at this point is to further radicalize the Left (which will happen when the Senate votes it down) and divide the nation.
