Photographs of Hiroshima After the Atomic Bomb

The Daily Mail has a story with newly released photographs of Hiroshima following the Japanese surrender. The photographs were taken by a British soldier and only recently came into the possession of his grandson who has made them public. It is interesting to note how resistant the brick and concrete structures were to the blast, whereas the wood and paper buildings, common to Japanese buildings at the time, were utterly demolished. It should also be of interest that the soldier, who obviously was some time there, never had any injury from radiation exposure.
