Greg Ellifritz's Latest Weekend Knowledge Dump

As with Jon Low's most recent newsletter, I was slow posting about Greg Ellifritz's January 5 Weekend Knowledge Dump. Links in Greg's post include:

  • Massad Ayoob's thoughts on ankle carry. As with other forms of carry, there are tradeoffs.
  • An article on how to make sure that your handgun fits you. Not everyone has hands the size of dinner plates.
  • An explanation of retention levels for duty holsters. This is something to look at if you are considering an open carry holster, whether because of your job (e.g., security), use at the range or hunting, or for your battle-belt.
  • A couple links for drills to evaluate your shooting competency.
  • Advice on how to be safe in a crowded space or venue.
  • A Tactical Professor article on why the attitude “I’ll shoot anyone in my home” is so stupid.
  • And more....
