Just some stories of the wide-spread corruption among our elites. Needless to say, read the whole of each article.
- "Why Do Democrats Think They Can ‘Win’ the Crime Issue?" by Robert Stacey McCain, The American Spectator. The author argues that the Left, including the media, are suppressing the true facts about crime in order to benefit Democrat politicians. From the article:
Research by John R. Lott Jr. highlights just how geographically concentrated the murder problem is in the United States. Of the more than 3,000 counties in the country, 52 percent had zero murders in 2020, while the 31 counties with the highest murder rates (the worst 1 percent) had 42 percent of the nation’s murders. Expand the focus to the worst 2 percent (62 counties), and these accounted for more than half (56 percent) of U.S. murders in 2020. Lott concluded: “Murder isn’t a nationwide problem. It’s a problem in a small set of urban areas …”Yes, but what about “gun violence”? What about the inflammatory rhetoric of Democrats demonizing the National Rifle Association (NRA) as somehow to blame for America’s crime problem? Among other things, Lott took into account rates of firearm ownership, and found an inverse relationship between the prevalence of murder and rates of gun ownership: “According to a 2021 Pew Research Center survey, the household gun ownership rate in rural areas was 79% higher than in urban areas. Suburban households are 37.9% more likely to own guns than urban households. Despite lower gun ownership, urban areas experience much higher murder rates.”So much for the correlation between gun ownership and crime. What do we know about the correlation between politics and crime? The five U.S. cities with the highest per capita murder rates are St. Louis (69.4 per 100,000 population), Baltimore (51.1), New Orleans (40.6), Detroit (39.7), and Cleveland (33.7). In the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden got 82 percent of the vote in St. Louis, 87 percent in Baltimore, 83 percent in New Orleans, 94 percent in Detroit and 80 percent in Cleveland. In other words, the most dangerous cities in America are all Democratic Party strongholds.
Also:
Most of the facts about crime in America don’t fit that narrative. According to the FBI, in 2021 there were about 23,000 homicides in the country and, based on data from 2019, about 54 percent of U.S. murder victims are black people, most of whom are killed by other black people. It is impossible to discuss violent crime in America without acknowledging that at least half of it involves black people, both as victims and perpetrators, despite the fact that blacks are only 14 percent of the U.S. population. The national media clearly doesn’t want to discuss this — for reasons that are fundamentally political — and so the picture of crime in America conveyed by the media is distorted beyond recognition. This political distortion produces a yawning chasm between the reality of crime and its portrayal in the news media.
As McCain notes: "Democrats are the intended beneficiaries of this warped coverage, and it is obvious that they never expect to be held accountable for their rhetoric about crime."
- "Queer theory indoctrination is directly responsible for Nashville tragedy" by Liz Wheeler, Washington Times. An excerpt:
On March 27, a deranged and angry person murdered three 9-year-old children and three teachers at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, representing the latest in a seemingly endless chain of school shootings that have plagued our country.Despite what most Democratic politicians and activists want you to believe, this tragedy is not the result of access to guns. Rather, the primary causal factor behind these murders is neo-Marxist queer theory indoctrination that twisted the shooter and transformed her from an innocent child into a deadly weapon of the Marxist vanguard. Before delving into the details surrounding the attacker — who identified as a transgender male despite being born female — it is vital to explain exactly what queer theory entails and how it is inextricably linked to the Marxist ideology that seeks to destroy Western civilization via violent revolution.Like the insidious critical race theory that has been corrupting our nation’s children into believing that all White people are inherently racist, queer theory is an outgrowth of critical theory. Critical theory, developed by the Frankfurt School, is an ideology built upon the idea that if you levy relentless criticism against prevailing notions and institutions, you can cause those prevailing notions and institutions to crumble. It is precisely those prevailing notions and institutions that stand in the way of a Marxist revolution. One’s biological sex is clearly determined by what your body looks like and what your DNA looks like. That is objective truth. This is why we have institutions such as the family and traditional marriage, because they are built upon objective reality.Queer theory — and the transgender ideology that is part of it — is essentially just one segment of critical theory, aimed at deconstructing those truths by assaulting the objective definitions of man, woman, child, marriage, sex, gender, etc. Though it may sound hyperbolic to some, queer theory’s ultimate — albeit camouflaged — purpose is to spark a neo-Marxist revolution by destroying our prevailing notions and institutions; by destroying the American family, and by turning transgender and “nonbinary” youth into violent revolutionaries.

- "Bombshell Docs Show Biden White House Directly Coordinated With FBI to Set up Trump Raid" by Matt Margolis, PJ Media. No different than how the White House and leading Democrats coordinated with the FBI in the "Russia, Russia, Russia" dossier. The key bit:
“On August 8, 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted an unprecedented raid of Mar-a-Lago on the ground that potentially classified records existed there. According to press reports, Biden Administration aides were “stunned” to hear of this development,” AFL begins in a press release. “However, new NARA records obtained through America First Legal’s investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Mar-a-Lago raid further confirmed that the FBI obtained access to these records through a ‘special access request’ from the Biden White House on behalf of the Department of Justice (DOJ).”According to AFL, it appears that “the Biden White House and DOJ coordinated to obtain the Trump records and perhaps create a pretext for the law enforcement raid by way of the ‘special access request.'”
The question we need to be asking is why the FBI (and other three letter agencies) are so afraid of Donald Trump.
- Speaking of the FBI: "FBI Used Undercover Agent among Catholic Clergy & Leadership to Cultivate Sources"--National Review.
As part of its effort to identify extremists in the Catholic Church, the FBI recruited at least one “undercover employee” to “develop sources among the clergy and church leadership,” Representative Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) revealed Monday.Jordan, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, issued a subpoena demanding FBI director Christopher Wray testify and provide more information to Congress about the federal agency’s intelligence-gathering initiative targeting Catholic Americans.
According to the article:
The weaponization committee demanded that the FBI turn over information related to its investigation of Catholics after a former FBI agent leaked a memo entitled, “Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation Opportunities.” The memo, issued by the bureau’s Richmond field office, relied on information compiled by the biased Southern Poverty law Center about alleged “extremist” Catholic communities that prefer the Latin Mass and hold to conservative social teachings.
“In making this assessment, FBI Richmond relied on the key assumption that [racially or ethnically motivated extremists] will continue to find [radical-traditionalist Catholic or RTC] ideology attractive and will continue to attempt to connect with RTC adherents, both virtually via social media and in-person at places of worship,” the January, 23 memo states.
- "Government Spokesman Instructs Media to Ignore Leaked Intelligence: It's 'Not Intended for Public Consumption'" by Ben Bartee, PJ Media. The federal government has been embarrassed by a leak of classified intelligence that, among other things, shows how much the U.S. spies on its erstwhile allies (which doesn't bother me in the least because they do the same--particularly Israel which has been behind some of the most damaging acts of espionage in our country's history). "To remedy the situation, [United States National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John] Kirby has simply instructed the lapdog U.S. media not to report on the contents of the leaked intelligence." Because we can't let voters know what our government is actually up to, or something.

The Biden administration is planning some of the most stringent auto pollution limits in the world, designed to ensure that all-electric cars make up as much as 67% of new passenger vehicles sold in the country by 2032, according to two people familiar with the matter.
As the old adage goes: what's good for GM is good for America. Given that the average age of a vehicle on the road in the U.S. is 12.2 years, these regulations will give a needed boost to the automobile industry.

[JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie] Dimon emphasized that due to the importance of advancing green initiatives such as solar farms, wind generation, and other environmental programs, the government should not allow individuals to use property rights to slow the advance of such projects, but rather should use eminent domain to seize property so those projects can be developed quickly and without delays.
- "When the Bad Guys Became the Good Guys"--The Continental Congress (substack). The author discusses how the media influences the direction of social forces through their portrayal of who is a good guy and who is a bad guy, but also explaining that while the Deep State is very real, it is less like an evil serpent and more like an immovable rock. He then returns to the subject of the title: when the bad guys become the good guys. An excerpt:
Here in 2023, everyone knows that Richard Nixon resigned because he engaged in a massive cover-up of his administration’s involvement in the Watergate break-in, a story revealed by the reporting of Washington Post reporters Bob Woodard and Carl Bernstein. But to watch ALL THE PRESIDENT’S MEN is to understand that in 1972 the connection between the break-in and the Nixon Government was never obvious, that the outcome of the story was by no means assured. In the beginning, Woodward and Bernstein didn’t have any idea what they had. They started with a weird penny-ante crime story and slowly and methodically followed it all the way to the White House. The result was a best-selling book and one of the greatest movies ever made. Now compare that with the way our Media Coporations and Big Tech handled the Hunter Biden laptop story. No honest broker would suggest that the details revealed by the release of the laptop’s contents were any less suggestive of massive governmental corruption than was the initial fact pattern surrounding the Watergate break-in. Quite the contrary… the laptop arrived in the Media’s collective in-box with all the dots already connected. But we all know in our hearts that there will never be a big budget studio movie about The Hunter Biden laptop featuring an ensemble of the biggest movie stars of our time, no matter where that story leads.Because the Bad Guys have become the Good Guys.
The ironic part of the author's analysis is that he regurgitates the Deep State/MSM account of the Nixon story, whereas Nixon's removal from office was part of a Deep State coup, not all that different from the various attempts against Trump. Although behind a paywall, "How the Deep State Took Down Nixon" by Nathan Pinkoski at Compact Mag discusses the reality behind the coup against Nixon. Fortunately, Instapundit excerpted the relevant part:
Since the publication of Secret Agenda, books such as Len Colodny’s and Robert Gettlin’s Silent Coup (1991), James Rosen’s The Strong Man (2008), and Geoff Shepard’s The Real Watergate Scandal (2015) and The Nixon Conspiracy (2021) have drawn on declassified documents and unsealed judicial and congressional hearings to help us better understand what really happened. Although these authors disagree about many details, they agree that Nixon was removed from office not because he endangered the constitutional order, but because his bureaucratic and political enemies plotted successfully against him. And while scholars shy away from endorsing some of the more dramatic claims that have been made over the years, the best of them understand Watergate not in terms of the conventional narrative, but as an institutional “conflict” in which Nixon was the most important casualty. Nixon had to go—not because of a bungled break-in, but because he challenged the national-security state. Thanks to the revelations concerning Felt, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s role in Nixon’s downfall is better understood. The Central Intelligence Agency’s role, however, remains mysterious. It was only one of several US intelligence agencies spying on Nixon and his officials, but Langley’s role in Watergate set it apart. As Hougan shows, it infiltrated and sabotaged “The Plumbers,” the covert unit responsible for the Watergate burglaries, run by several figures in Nixon’s re-election campaign committee with connections to the White House. It was the CIA that set in motion the events that forced Nixon from the presidency. The CIA, the military, and other agencies spied on the White House because Nixon the president acted differently than Nixon the politician. As congressman, senator, and vice president, Nixon was a dyed-in-the-wool Cold Warrior. While this position earned him the ire of media and academic elites, especially when he exposed the treason of their darling Alger Hiss, anti-Communism was at the time a fairly conventional position within military and intelligence circles. In backing Nixon in 1968, his supporters in the military and intelligence communities thought they were getting a hawk who would stop trying to micromanage the Vietnam War and national security from the White House.Nixon had other ideas.

- "A new anti-Kavanaugh book doesn’t mention me by name. Here’s why" by Mark Judge, Washington Examiner. The telling part (bold added):
There’s a reason that Biskupic, the author of several books about the Supreme Court and a reporter known as a great scoop-finder, does not mention me by name. Why? Because to do so would set off a chain of events that Biskupic, CNN, and the rest of the media would rather not unleash.
If Biskupic named me, she would have to describe the contents of my book, The Devil’s Triangle. I reveal extortion attempts, media manipulation, witness tampering, and even a sexual honey trap, all to destroy me and Brett Kavanaugh. I talk about Leland Keyser, Ford’s friend who denied the alleged assault ever happened and went on to say that she was pressured to change her story.
Okay, you are on a posting frenzy, my friend!
