The video has some testimony as well as the recording of the Hellfire missile strike. The testimony is interesting because the witness indicates that the military has many such recordings. But if you are just interested in the Hellfire attack, it begins at the 58 second mark. As you can see, the missile was enough to knock the glowing orb (foo fighter?) about at the instant of the strike, but otherwise the orb continued flying like nothing had happened. There were some other objects (debris?) that came off the orb immediately after the strike, but it is not clear to me whether it something from the missile or something from the orb.

Looks like a blob of gelatin, and when hit a bit of it comes off. The blob continues with distortions of shape until it resembles the original. "Aerogel" has been suggested but it is normally considered rigid and not flexible.

ReplyDelete(On a more serious note, the almost elastic looking deformation combined with the fragmentation and barely altered flight path make me more confident than ever that many if not most of these are indeed "foo fighters," which would explain everything from the anomalous acceleration to the high reflectivity across the spectrum and the light emission during nighttime sightings.)
