Harvard Students Fail 1964 Literacy Test

Story at the Daily Mail. Basically, a Harvard professor had his class take a 1964 literacy test given in Louisiana to prospective voters who could not prove that they had at least a 5th grade education. The test had 30 questions and had to be answered within 10 minutes. Missing even one of the test questions is to fail the test.

The point of the article was supposed to show how discriminatory was the test. However, a copy of the test (but not answers) is included, and the impression I get is that the "brightest young minds in the world" must not be that bright. These are the future leaders of government and captains of industry. We are doomed.
