The Firearms Blog has a couple articles I wanted to bring to your attention today. First, they have photos and stats of the Glock 42--a single stack .380--a pistol Glock should have developed a long time ago.
Second, one of their writers--Phil White--gives thoughts (and suggestions for parts and manufacturers) for building your own AR 15. Although White lists some videos for providing guidance on building your own, I would also recommend Kyle Lamb's Green Eyes and Black Rifles, which goes over the basics of building your own, as well as running an AR 15.

IMHO, the specifications for that Glock 42 are unimpressive. It is big for a modern .380 pistol, especially in comparison to the Kel Tec P3AT or Ruger LCP. The Kel Tek PF-9 compares very favorably in size and weight to the Glock, and it shoots 9mm.

You are correct--there are now plenty of other small, lightweight carry guns out on the market. That was part of the point I was trying to make in saying that this is a pistol that Glock should have developed a long time ago. Glock is late to the market, and behind the curve. But this may also indicate that Glock will take a more serious look at the civilian concealed carry market.
