ReplyDeleteThere are hints that the Basque fished off Newfoundland before Columbus, artifacts that suggest contact with several old world cultures, and the presence of nicotine in Egyptian mummies that, together, suggest that perhaps travel to the Americas from the Mediterranean/Europe was not as difficult as we think.
